Hey Folks-
I’m Cari Rincker. I’m an attorney with an office in Downtown Champaign. I’m originally from Shelbyville, Illinois, a small town about 1.5 hours south of Champaign and Springfield. I grew up on a beef cattle farm showing cattle through 4-H and FFA. I spent my summers walking beans and bailing hay and the rest of the year playing sports. I zig zagged across the country for school and ended up living in New York City for 10 years.
After living on the East Coast for a decade, decided to move home to be closer to family and to have a change of lifestyle. I bought a small horse farm called “Cari’s Farm” outside of Champaign near Bondville. I have chickens and a beautiful dog named, Kennedy. A year ago, I was on the Upper West Side in Manhattan and now I live on my 3 acres learning to garden and hanging out in dog parks.
It’s been a breath of fresh air and a welcomed change of pace. Moving home has been an adventure so far and with hopefully more to come.
I want this blog to serve as a way for me to document my journey home and to highlight some of the great things this state has to over. I welcome recommendations, feedback, and discovery partners!
