Loved stopping by the Tower of Baa between Windsor and Findley -what a fun place to show kids a goat tower and musical stones. Lovely hosts.
My Mother’s Day gift for myself was to go on a solo hike.. only the second since having Baby #2. Last time I was here was in my second trimester. I figure that the best gift that I can give my children is for me to happy and healthy. Sometimes that requires me to take some time by myself to breathe. #hiddensprings #discoverillinois #hikeillinois
Had a lovely weekend at @starvedrockstatepark -Stayed in the lodge. I tried to make it to LaSalle Canyon today but I hit a dead end and was by myself .. next time! I just reserved a cabin for next year and can’t wait to come back.
I loved going to the art show at the @lakeshelbyville visitor’s center yesterday -I learned yesterday that it was the 56th year in a row that this event was held. What a fun event -took both kids and my toddler loved seeing the art.
I haven’t made it for a hike since coming home from the hospital but got one step closer today.. made it to #hiddenspringsstateforest ✅and got the little one comfortable in my baby carrier ✅✅. My son wanted me to play with him at the playground so I didn’t make it into the woods but got some great fresh air and family time. I feel like this place is a hidden gem near @lakeshelbyville .
I love hiking in the winter. Bundle me up with a warm cup of hot chocolate. I will take mornings like this anytime.. #discoverillinois #hiddensprings
My son is living the light display at the Forest Park in @lakeshelbyville -we sent around 3 times last night so he could see the rocking horses and dinosaurs over and over.
Want to give a shout out to @make_on_main in @lakeshelbyville for giving my son great art lessons each week.
Wreath shopping today at #NoBadDaysFarm -my second time here. @lakeshelbyville is lucky to have them.
First time at the Schaefer Pumpkin Patch today. I saw a sign on my way to Tower Hill (don’t ask) and look a left turn to Beecher City. What a great hidden treasure.
What a beautiful fall morning for a short hike at the Dacey Trial -I printed out a map and I’m impressed by how many miles of trails there are. Can’t wait to explore the mountain biking trails next spring after Baby R.
First time at the Japan House today -was here for a photoshoot with @pixelsbyemily . What a hidden treasure.
If you haven’t had a Thai Tea before, have you really lived? kidding.. but I do love a nice Thai Tea, Crab Rangoon and Pad Thai lunch
I’ve always had a crush on work share spaces. I first came here for a business lunch about a year or so ago. Since then, it’s been a nice little hideout for me .. a place that I can eat a meal, grab some coffee and work with my laptop without fear of being ran off by my server. I even checked out the child care here -I would have sent my little man but he had just gotten off the wait list at Next Generation. What a great place for folks in the Champaign community.
Have you been to the Rainbow Alley in @lakeshelbyville ? What a beautiful and creative use of a wall.
